Oh I meant to say, thank you for spreading the news about Little Lifts charity - a great way for people to give support. I must ask my son in law if they do similar ones for other cancers (he’s an oncologist).

Great to see you up and enjoying a sandwich post op and getting through this next stage. Always a joy to see your smile and loving the posts. Onwards and upwards xxx

Good news Kate it sounds like you are through the worst. I really hope so.

On plus side with regard to lymph node removal, I know it is purely anecdotal, but my friend and neighbour who had breast cancer over 30 years ago well before we knew each other, had all lymph nodes in the armpit area removed on both sides, and has not had any lymphedema. She is now in her late seventies. Initially she worried about getting insect bites or scratches from gardening, prompting infection and swelling; she still takes care but is certainly less anxious about it now since there has been no incidence at all.

Crossing everything that there are no traces left lurking. And that you get a chance to really rest despite being in LimboLand xxx

Loved your little video, Kate. You star! I'm so glad to hear the surgery is over. Yep, Limboland sucks....lots of distraction tactics, Netflix, and cake help ;-)

Sending gentle hugs, warm wishes and good karma vibes. xoxo

I also found my cancer via a lump in my armpit while showering. While horrified it was in my lymph nodes if it hadn’t been I would still be sat here now completely unaware of the cancer in my breast. So yes not ideal but also grateful!

It's not what you expect, is it? I'm glad we had the warning!

So glad the op went well. Hoping for good news about the lab work. You know, some self-pity can be a valid part of any self-help regimen ;) Hugs xo

Wishing you a complete and speedy recovery. I had a 50p sized area on the back of my arm that was numb for years - but suddenly one day I realised it was normal again! Always careful with my right arm now (injections, blood draws etc are a no-no). Manual Lymphatic Drainage may be helpful, and a compression sleeve if you get any swelling. You're doing brilliantly, and each day is so much more precious now, eh? xxx
