So lovely to read this Kate. And hanging out in France with friends looks like an absolutely perfect way to celebrate the end of chemo. You’ve done it! ❤️❤️ a huge well done to you. I hope surgery goes smoothly and as for radiotherapy - I think you will find it a breeze after having to endure the hell of chemo. I certainly found radiotherapy absolutely fine - no side effects and no fatigue that I had read about (I had postponed a holiday thinking I would be too tired and flagging but the reality was I was buzzing after finishing) the only thing I found tricky for radiotherapy was having to hold my breath a lot as area being treated was on left breast and you have to keep incredibly still (and hold your breath) to protect heart area I believe. Will be thinking of you. You will be fine xx
Me too!! Wonderful Kate and as always shared with great aplomb and written with your unique verve which BTW has been in the writing even at the hardest times. What a person you are. LOVE the photos. x
Just found you on Substack! I've only recently started, and finding more people on the platform. What a journey you're on. Documenting it in real time is quite the thing - huge applause for doing that :)
Wonderful to see the joy in your photos - sounds like a lovely and well-deserved holiday! Btw, love that QE postage stamp dress - where can I get a shirt in that pattern? Hugs xo
Thank you, Mark - it was so good. I made the dress from fabric I bought in Cloth Control on Kensington Gardens. Alas I only make clothes for myself but I know Gresham Blake make incredible shirts if you ever wanted to splash out!
this made me so happy I had a little cry!
Me too. The loveliest photos ever x
I know, so happy here.
It's wonderful to see such happy photos with your friends and in such a beautiful place. x

Such good news. Let's catch up very soon.
Back in the room and VERY loud.
